Focus

The 5th edition of the Special Session Talking about Teaching 2016 (TaT’16) following the Annual Conference, now IGIP2016, aims to promote the discussion on Engineering Education by providing an opportunity for debating and sharing ideas, approaches, developments and experiences. The Organizers, being responsible and/or members of the Portuguese Society for Engineering Education (SPEE) working groups (IT in Engineering Education and Tools to Develop Higher Order Thinking Skills) and actively involved in the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP), promote this Special Track in line with the mission of both Societies.

The proposed topics are concerned not only with resources in engineering education (EE) and with the constant demand on the use of technology, but also with the effectiveness of knowledge in order to guaranty simultaneously the diversity and inclusion in EE, teachers professional development, the perspective of EE oriented for STEM and the spirit of engineering leadership in society.
