The Special Session “IoT in Engineering Education 2017 (IoTiEE 2017)” aims to promote the discussion of goals, facets and experiences in the field of “IoT in Engineering Education” at engineering education institutions (colleges, universities,..). Organized by members of IGIP-Austria and Austrian Federal Ministry of Education.

Focus

The IoTiEE 2017 session aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results and to discuss the following questions:

  • What are the specifics in Internet of Things for the educational systems of engineers?
  • Which teaching/learning methods/applications should be applied?
  • What are the requirements for Technical Teacher Training?
  • Which content should be taught?
  • Which kind of role could play project based learning?
  • What are the best practice evaluations and outcomes assessments.
  • Which experiences can be shared within the IGIP community?
  • Which role can and/or should IGIP perform?

  • Presentation (duration 12 to 15 minutes)
  • Workshop (max. duration 20 to 25 minutes)

Submission

Articles submitted to IoTiEE will follow the Conference Submission Procedure: (http://icl-conference.org/icl2017/paper_preparation.php).

Presented papers will be published in the as ICL2017 Proceedings in the Springer series "Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing". The books of this series are submitted to ISI Proceedings, EI-Compendex, DBLP, SCOPUS, Google Scholar and Springerlink.
