Overview

This Special Session organised like a “mini conference”. We applied this at IMCL2019 and we think can be extended to all IAOE conferences. In opening we invited two technical conferences from INDUSTRY (20 min. presentations):

  • SKELETON – the biggest EU factory of SUPER CAPACITORS and lieder in Industrial Energy Harvesting (see https://www.skeletontech.com/about)
  • CYPRESS - semiconductors who Cypress delivers compute, HMI, and connectivity capabilities purpose-built for the loT (see https://www.cypress.com)

Followed by 5-6 normal papers connected with IoT, IIoT and Energy Harvesting.

Topics of Interest

Energy harvesting has been used for many years now. But today technology revolution in many applications areas, such as building and industry automation, smart cities, automotive vehicles, security systems, development within the domains of BigData and Internet of Things (IoT,IIoT and Medical IoT) and consequently the diffusion of sensor networks and the desire to replace batteries are major force driving advances in energy harvesting technologies. Also, it exists a special intersts for development of sensors for perpetuity that play an important role in medicine, agriculture, and other high tech domains.

Here the two companies (Skeleton and Cypress) together with research teams, developers and universities can easy to complete this scenarios with advances in this important field for new Industrial Revolution
