COVID-19 Measures for the Conference

The measures below apply provisionally until 23 October 2022. This page provides an overview of the applicable measures. For more information, please refer to Coronavirus – Aktuelle Maßnahmen (German).

Please note the special regulations for Vienna as specified under → “Regional measures for Vienna (see 2. below)”.

1. COVID-19 Protective Measures

There are access bans in case of positive corona tests!! PROOF OF NEGATIVE TEST, VACCINATION OR RECOVERY is needed.

TESTED

PCR test: valid 72 hours from test
--> Test centers in Vienna

The following are not valid: antibody test, self-test at home

RECOVERED

Medical certificate of recovery from infection: valid for 6 months from date of issue

VACCINATED

Second vaccination: valid for 6 months

Booster shot (3 vaccine doses or recovery and 2 vaccine doses): valid for 1 year

PLEASE NOTE: The falsification and use of falsified COVID test certificates, certificates of recovery and proofs of vaccination are criminal offences in Austria. Possible consequences: Fine and/or imprisonment. The forms of proof must be presented in German or English.

MANDATORY FFP2 MASKS

In the following areas and establishments, an FFP2 mask must be worn in closed spaces:

• Hospitals
• When using healthcare services

If a person has tested positive for COVID-19:

• in public transport
• in cars, if there is another person present

2. REGIONAL MEASURES FOR VIENNA

FFP2 masks are still obligatory in:

• Public transport – throughout the entire journey, at stops and waiting areas
• Public pharmacies
