In 2021, The 6th Annual International Network Research to Practice Conference "Synergy-2021" will be held and sponsored by Gazprom. The conference aims at exploring the international and Russian experience of new standards and technologies in engineering education (CDIO, NBICS, STEAM, MOOC, CE/PLM, etc.) for training competitive professionals to excel in petroleum, gas and chemical industry. This year, the conference will focus on the topic 'Regional Development: New Challenges for Engineering Education - Synergy-2021'.
Traditionally, the conference comprises network and plenary sessions in different cities of Russia and partner countries including round tables, expert workshops, panel discussions, video-conferences, and online sessions. During the last years, the topics of the conference matched the main trends of IGIP/ICL Conferences. The Special Session is of a great importance for regions of Russia to follow the agenda of universities supported by Gazprom. These universiteis are regional development drivers, their digital educational technologies mitigate the risks of repeating emergencies and contribute to Gazprom personnel development. The Special Session will encourage reports and discussions on experiences of different countries in solving regional development problems.
